Land Of The Goddess

It lies with every woman, be it in her heart or between her legs.

    Our desires shouldn't

  be tied to people

  or objects, but rather

  to the experiences

  we wish to have.

 I finally return
 and what do
 I find myself
 doing, now?
 Yes, I'm leaving
 again. I'm off
 to the beach
 to enjoy
 some sun
 and surf
 with my
 beautiful
 family.
 The good
 news is that
 we'll only
 be gone
 a week.
 Try not
 to miss me
 too much!

          A single gift of love
       can undo an entire day
       of dissapointment.

Hi

Where have I been? I suppose it's a bit more of where haven't I been? I went to visit my mom with Frankie. My mother decided to break her ankle our first morning there (Yipee). When my darling daughter and I arrived home, we discovered that we have a new puppy in the house (is it just me, or does house breaking a pup suck?). And then it was time for Frankie's 4th birthday party. That's always our big party of the year and requires alot more planning than it should (not to mention the cost)
Me? Too busy to blog? Definately! But I missed you guys!!

                         Life requires of us a
                         balance and continuity
                         between our thoughts
                     and our actions.

"There is nothing greater than thank you.
Thank you is what you say to God. "
                                           - Maya Angelou

I had a topic in mind and then I heard her say this. It is the very essence of where I wanted to go with this post. This is a post about the natural and unnatural states of unconditional love. The natural being in the giving and the unnatural being in the receiving. For all of us there is a desire to earn the love we are given. We need to feel worthy of it in our own eyes. Love someone unconditionally and you will get one of two results, a building up of the spirit with renewed vigor to greater heights or a complete shutting down and a distance put up to push that love away. This is true even in the unconditional love of ourselves. It is so very natural and even instinctual to love ourselves. It is in the receiving that we so often fall short. Know that gratitude is a magnet to all things good because it is there that we make our claim to be open to that good. It is with this in mind that I say to myself,
"Thank you."

Anniversary

      It's the one year anniversary

of Land of the Goddess!!

This is a great opportunity for you guys

to all have a good laugh on me.

I had never blogged before...

nor did I know what a blog was.

So, I thought it was like a little journal,

but what I didn't know was that

there was a whole world of bloggers

out there that could come to my space.

Well, you can imagine my suprise the

first time someone I didn't know

left me a comment.

(Yeah, you're laughing now.)

Well, my first couple of dialogues didn't

go well at all. As a matter of fact,

one of them ended up getting pretty ugly.

Then enter Wayward Bill, my very first real

msn friend. From there the whole world

opened up and I've been lucky

to meet some really amazing people.

Today, I celebrate you all and all the joy

and laughs we've shared!

To celebrate, I want to repost some favorites!!

First, my all time favorite...

The heart can be a fickle child. It can throw a tantrum over something it ceases to want within mere moments of recieving it. It can be severely hurt by such simplicities as another person following thier own heart. Are we truly being served by sayings such as "follow your heart" or are they merely another way we have allowed ourselves to be misguided? I say do not follow your heart for it is merely one of the pieces of the organism that moves us through life. On it's own, it can only guide us through highs and lows. But use it with conscience and logic and it can help move us to completely new levels of joy. The heart is a child, a part of this family we call ourselves. Do not allow it to become spoiled and rotten knowing no responsibility. Teach it morality and compassion. Teach it cooperation. Teach it compromise. Teach it to be a part of something in which it is not the center nor the ruler. It is far better to be as the parent comforting that child than as the child with no one left to listen.

God makes some people

so they won't waste our time.

And one just for fun...

Women are easy.

                                             It's men that are difficult.

                                                 Ever try to train one?
